I totally recognize that type of tree that giraffe is munching on!Someone pointed them out to me just the other day. They have wicked thorns on them - I wonder how they manage to navigate around them! One of my girls said that the Giraffes have freckles just like me "only a LOT bigger!"

I'm jealous of your travels.
Truly, giraffes have an amazing tongue. Its evolved over millions of years to be both highly flexible and highly resiliant to obstacles like thorns.
