Not in the Periphery

This evening I prepared a pot of pasta with tomato sauce for dinner. I was nearly finished cooking it when a moth entered the airspace above the steaming pot. As I continued stirring, something seemed not quite right. In my peripheral vision should have been a moth leaving the airspace over the pot.

I stirred a bit more and discovered the moth in my pasta, spaghetti-flavored wings flapping.

Moth TrajectoryMy camera wasn’t at the scene to capture the event, so I sketched it.

And...uhh...Gross.

I read your post and saw your sketch... I didn't see anything about the moth being removed from the pasta at any time. Do spaghetti-covered moths taste as good there as they do in Chicago?

This is great! At first, before I read it, I thought you were making bow-tie pasta. Love the caption on the pic. Very creative.
