This sign bothers me.

The sign would only be appropriate, were it a category header on Jeopardy! – where words in quotation marks give clues to correct responses. Instead, this sign greets me each time I visit the men’s room at a local eatery. The use of “employee” (singular) irritates me, as well.

I’m left to wonder whether a specific, unnamed employee needs a good delousing. This does not inspire confidence at the local eatery (yet it does not prevent me from patronizing said eatery roughly biweekly).

Employee Wash HandsIt was only after snapping the above photo and constructing the above blurb that I realized I’d encountered similar signs previously (click here or here).

Previous close encounters of the signage kind also include photos of signs and stories about signs.

Or, on the other hand, if said establishment only had one employee...
